A Very New Mexico Week!

Labor Day and Memorial Day have always gotten me excited. Its a nice long weekend without any of the major holiday obligations. Just a nice three days to relax and maybe picnic. This Labor Day we were blessed to have Patricia & Steve (Grey's mom and her hubby) come stay with us for the weekend! - Thank you for coming all this way to share in our life here in Ohio!

They were excited to see the house and little Mason! And we were excited to have them stay in our newly painted and set up guest room. Their visit also helped motivate us to get some of our interior painting done, so thank you!

It was a full weekend of relaxing outside, drinking lots of Pinon coffee, filling them in on our progressing wedding plans, and had some great meals at North Market, Mezzo at Creekside and our ultimate Columbus favorite, G.Michael's in German Village. We also ventured to the newly awarded, Best Zoo in America, The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium. Before Patricia and Steve headed back to the southwest, we met my family for lunch and our moms finally got to meet!

Not only did we have family in from New Mexico, we had multiple deliveries of green chile arrive on our doorstep! Grandmary was SO sweet and ordered a new batch of chile which arrived to us roasted, frozen and on dry ice. What a glorious day! THEN a few days later, we got another box of it! A shipping mistake by the company was our good fortune! So with our freezer FULLY stocked, we then got a package from Doug of fresh green chiles, complete with a burlap sack! We roasted these last night on the big grill and the smell was SO good! It smelled like fall!

That's been the excitement around our house this week! In Mason News, he was at the vet yesterday for a checkup and shots. He now weighs 15.5 lbs, double the 7.25 lbs from a month ago! In Wedding News, Grey and I are starting to look into options for our HONEYMOON!! We're probably most excited about this part more than anything! - Happy 09.09.09!

{Pictures to come when I find the cord to upload them!}
